Room in Happy Valley - garden space, work trade, and casual community

We are moving from our happy home in Happy Valley to the house next door, leaving some great friends and thinking… hey, now we all have two yards instead of one!  There are plans for chickens between the houses and possibly a goat in the new back yard.   There is plenty of garden space for all, and we also enjoy brewing, preserving, and other aspects of sustainable living.  All that’s missing is one more awesome person to fill the vacated room. Our landlady would like to find someone handy who…See More

Hi Beth!

I just gleaned a big box of apples, so soon I'll have apple spice cake, apple crisp and dried apples to share!  I'm also soon going to make some carrot-rosemary soup, and lentil soup from this great recipe I got from the co-op.  (I like to put sausage in this soup, but can have a vegetarian version available.)

BTW, I have a friend who is very interested in learning about goats.  She would be willing to put in some labor in exchange for hands-on tutoring.  Could she "shadow" you one day at the goat co-op?  She is a TW member.
