Room in Happy Valley - garden space, work trade, and casual community
We are moving from our happy home in Happy Valley to the house next door, leaving some great friends and thinking… hey, now we all have two yards instead of one! - I'm not involved yet, but I'm planning on going to the Great Unleashing!
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- My husband and I aspire to a lifestyle that is low-impact and healthy for us, our neighbors, and the earth. We want to become involved with a community with the same goals. We are currently living off the grid and gardening, and would love to learn how to continually improve to become more self- and community-reliant.
- In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
- the Lummi Reservation
- Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
- I met some people involved in Transition, and I searched for the website.

I'm also soon going to make some carrot-rosemary soup, and lentil soup from this great recipe I got from the co-op. (I like to put sausage in this soup, but can have a vegetarian version available.)
BTW, I have a friend who is very interested in learning about goats. She would be willing to put in some labor in exchange for hands-on tutoring. Could she "shadow" you one day at the goat co-op? She is a TW member.
