Roving Garden Party Offered!

Want a bunch of enthusiastic college students to come to your place and work on/start an edible garden for 90 minutes? Transition Western (my on campus club) will be showing the film Transition 2.0 which shows aspects of the transition movement all over the worldThe film run for about 45 min and then be followed by a panel discussion with folks in bellingham who are doing many of the things displayed in the film. Panelists will have the opportunity to speak a little bit about what they are doing and answer questions about what is already being done and what is possible to do in the near future. See More

Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I am the president of Transition Western a club on WWU's campus. As a club we have primarily been organizing roving garden parties in the York neighborhood and working on the York farm. We are also working towards putting a free exchange table on campus!

I also sometimes attend TWOG meetings and movies.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I see the transition movement as a way to transform the world for the better, and to live a fulfilling and purposeful life!
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I worked as a street canvasser doing fundraising for different organizations this summer. I am good at talking to people and sharing important ideas, and ways that we as citizens can make a difference.
