TRANSITION YORK first potluck! Friday, Nov 6 at 6:00 pm at Francis and Lia Ailey's house: 1717 Iron St. Please come if you are interested in addressing the issues of peak oil and climate change together as a community... If you are interested in making York the gardening-biking-befriending-greenliving-happiness-and-healthiness capitol of Bellingham!

Transition York Friends,
We should meet! Maybe have a potluck and talk about our dreams for this neighborhood? What are people's schedules like?

Welcome to the new brighter future of our already-wonderful York Neighborhood! I am so excited to be starting this journey together and to see how we can creatively respond to the environmental and social problems we face.

First things first: there will be a workshop on Oct 18, from 1 to 4 pm about Starting a Transition in Your (our) Neighborhood. If you are excited about this community work, please consider attending (more details under "Events" on this website). If you cannot attend this workshop just call me (961 9028) and I'll get you hooked up.

I leave you for now with a great quote from Nick Spring: "Why have neighbors when you could have FRIENDS?" :) --Chris
