Thanx David!

Looks like Transition 2.0 is a clear choice for a movie showing. The Farmer and The Horse seems a good one too. Any 'votes' for a third selection?

I think the first movie TW sponsored was "The Great Squeeze," organized by David Waugh for a showing at Fairhaven College, in 2009 I think.

Great Movie. We showed it a few months ago and had a wonderful turnout. I will go back and look at the movies we have shown in the past and post them here so we have a record.

Thanks for starting this film series! It's a great idea. I look forward to the next one. My suggestion is for the film "The Economics of Happiness." If you haven't seen it already, it's really cool and inspiring. (WWU's library has a copy if you want to preview it.)

Transition 2.0 is on the way (I should have the DVD in just a few days). Anyone want to help plan a showing? When is a good time to show it? Where show we do it?

“The Farmer and The Horse Film” would be interesting.  There is an annual draft-horse event each year in rural park outside of Lynden, and I have eastcoast friends who have farmed for years with draft horses.  http://www.thefarmerandthehorse.com/watch-the-trailer.html

My feedback on Crisis of Civilization: great to hear of Emily research on the main speaker in the movie. The 2^nd half had globel political info I was not aware of, and Id like to watch at least the last 30 minutes again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMgOTQ7D_lk

It was very interesting to listen to folks share responses to movie who have not been involved in permaculture-transition-living democracy work.

The director is offering any official Transition group anywhere in the world the opportunity to host one free public screening of movie. The only cost would be the purchase of the DVD for $15. Let him know about your screening, and he'll help publicize them on The Farmer and the Horse website and Facebook page.
