Join us the 3rd Tuesday of the month for a film specially chosen to highlight Transition-related issues, and some of the ways individuals, families, and communities are building resilience and self reliance.
We have a sold out showing of Occupy Love screening this week! Very exciting. Too keep our momentum going we need YOUR help!
What should our next movie be? Add your suggestions and respond to those already posted.
If you are interested in helping to with the TW movie project indicate your willingness with a comment below. We need help screening potential movies, working with venues, identifying co-sponsors, posting flyers, hosting discussions, etc- let us know if you would like to help!

~ I'd suggest "Earth 2100" ~ A VERY powerful film about a baby born in 2009, following her life until 2100 ~ Doc/ Animation mix ~ VERY intriguing!!! I know who has it to borrow from if that's helpful!! ~ Jamie

A web site with lots of possible films is www.bullfrogfilms.com they also have a special 'activist' set of films at www.bullfrogcommunities.com. Anyone want to help me wade thru the long list of films here and select some for possible showings?

Looks like Transition 2.0 is a clear choice for a movie showing. The Farmer and The Horse seems a good one too. Any 'votes' for a third selection?

I think the first movie TW sponsored was "The Great Squeeze," organized by David Waugh for a showing at Fairhaven College, in 2009 I think.

Great Movie. We showed it a few months ago and had a wonderful turnout. I will go back and look at the movies we have shown in the past and post them here so we have a record.

Thanks for starting this film series! It's a great idea. I look forward to the next one. My suggestion is for the film "The Economics of Happiness." If you haven't seen it already, it's really cool and inspiring. (WWU's library has a copy if you want to preview it.)

Transition 2.0 is on the way (I should have the DVD in just a few days). Anyone want to help plan a showing? When is a good time to show it? Where show we do it?
