Join us every few weeks for a film specially chosen to highlight energy-related issues, and some of the ways individuals, families, and communities are building resilience.
We just sponsored a showing of The Crisis of Civilization on April 26th and had around 25 attendees.
What should our next movie be? Add your suggestions and respond to those already posted.
If you are interested in helping to get a TW movie showing every month or so just indicate your willingness with a comment below. We need help screening potential movies, working with venues, hosting discussions, etc- let us know if you how you would like to help!

Good turnout to our showing of Crisis of Civilization last night (about 25 people), about 1/2 active TW members. Anyone have any additional comments on how it went? Anything we should change for next time?

Warren,
i just heard about a new film, Growthbusters, "a documentary examining the unsustainability of our worship; of growth everlasting," coming October 2011. Worth looking into (I haven't seen a trailer or even visited their website yet...growthbusters.org).
Also, I have a copy of "How To Boil A Frog" - the movie about saving civilization with comedy. Nice PeakMoment TV episode about this movie.

The success of our co-sponsored "The Economics of Happiness" inspired me to ask TW members what other movies they would like to see shown locally. For example, "Bag It" and "The Last Mountain" are already scheduled for showing at the Pickford Film Center. What else would we like to see?

Some new building...its near the Fairhaven Parking lot but on the Western side. If you go to the Events on this site, there is a link to the map and you can see it there.
