Hi Joy

I tried to leave a message at your page but not sure if it got through....

I'll call you today to set up a time to meet.

Do you have a source of manure? I do. We got some last weekend. There's more where we got it. I'd also like to get more.

Welcome to Birchwood neighborhood...Would love to meet you and your garden weather and health permitting. Love the idea of sharing time in garden together and produce sharing. We always have an abundance of raspberries in the summer and yellow Shiro plums etc...647-8654

Hi Angela,

Yes! I would love do an exchange. We are on Firwood. Maybe we could meet for tea and tour each other's gardens. Our first project could be getting and dispersing manure together.  (We were hoping to get it this weekend, but wound up with the cruddy cold that's going around. Lots of ginger tea is helping.) Since I am the resiliency "provider" weekdays are filled with work, so weekends are when I have the time. This Saturday, I'm teaching a bread class... 815-6434

Hi Joy,

I like your ideas. We live on Cherrywood. Actually we have plenty of winter squash so don't need any. Yes lets do some garden tours later. Anytime really.

I would also be interested in a friendly work exchange. I could come work with you at your place on what ever project you'd like some help on. And at another time You could come and work with me on a project I'd like help with. Equal time exchange. A big part of it being a chance to get to know each other.

I'm new to Transition Birchwood. I would love to meet others in the hood who are doing similar things and would like exchange ideas with others. Maybe there are others who'd like to swap produce... We have winter squash and great recipes. Anyone up for a tour of homes/gardens, perhaps this spring?

Please see message below from Pastor Swanson regarding a new community garden in the neighborhood

Greetings:

I'm glad to be able to tell you that at the annual meeting of the congregation this past Sunday (Jan 30) the Faith Community Garden was approved by a large majority.  We have $5,000 in hand towards the water line, and as soon as the rest of the funds are in hand we will be breaking ground.  Grant apps are ready to go, and so are we!!!

If anyone in Birchwood neighborhood is interested in reserving one of the raised beds, or wants to help out in any way, please contact us.  For further details and progress on the project, visit our website:  www.faithbellingham.org.  The garden page will be up and running within the next few days.
