I am looking for a few folks who would like to learn and experience
lime plaster, as I am planning to cover my cob walls in late september early october. I can see three or four of us completing this in a day or two.

Here is the wall, made of my dirt with straw added (i didn't add sand). It seems to be hold up well. I plan to cement the inside with chicken wire reinforcement. I've never seen this done before - I hope it works.

I'm Lori Jo and anyone is welcome to visit my pond - I'm just experimenting - time will tell if it works - so far the walls are holding but it has only been through one big rain. I'm going to go to Griffin street on Sat. so I'll try to remember to bring photos. Or better yet I'll take some more and post them.

NATURAL BUILDING
We have begun to gather resources for our natural building projects that will be built in the community.A downtown site is prepared to accept all we can collect...
Local tree workers have been contacted and asked to begin harvesting branches and trees in ways that we can utilize for our natural building projects.
Contact us at Forest Garden if you want to participate in this community effort. If we identify projects that can be built in private or public landscapes we can begin to gather the resources that will make these endeavors affordable !
