Hmmm...where is the Transition Singles Group? It seems an important part of sustainability, promotes carpooling and shared resources. :)

Kyler,  I have sent you a friend request.

I have a studio upstairs to rent in my home in Ferndale for $400 / mo, includes utilities & internet.  iIt's 2 blocks from the WTA busline.  My 28 year old son and I live downstairs. We are a gardeming, sustainable musical community on my land, Fern Hollow.  Please send me a message on TW if you are interested.  I am also interested in barter exchange for various carpentry tasks around our property.  Thanks, Terese

Hi my name is Kyler Boyes. I will be looking for a place to live in Bellingham around the end of June. I pay about $500.00 per month now for housing, utilities, and internet. I am hesitant to pay more until I get more income or reduce expenses in some way.

About me: I am a pretty quiet 27yr old male who does well with a good amount of privacy. I am very helpful and work at respecting others needs any way I can. I have skills in residential house framing if that could be a partial trade. Thanks.

Alys

The fellow who taught the Chicken class at the Co-op (Farley) said the way to stop broody behavior is to put them in a screened cage with no bottom and hang the cage up... this unusual and uncertain perch eventually breaks them from brooding. This technique might not be agreeable to you, though.

HELP!!!!  I have a very dedicated broody hen who needs someone who wants to raise their own chicks!  I do not have the space/facility or time to do it myself, so I would gladly give her to whoever wants a broody hen.  She is a year old laying Austrolorp, and has a lovely personality, and she will make an excellent mother hen.  If you are interested please contact me ASAP.  Also, if someone on this site could also put a notice on the Facebook Chicken Club about her I would be grateful.  Alys
