Earthen ovens are thick walled to retain the heat of the fire which is cleaned out before baking, food is cooked as the heat is released into the chamber, the slow release of the heat creates a unique texture to breads calazones pizzas and other baked goods.   Earthen ovens have been part of village life for centuries, people would congregate to bake their loaves in communal ovens, meals were prepared and shared around these mounds worldwide, come be a part of the wood fired oven experience.

Yeah, 12 of us got oil presses.  End cost $95, so far I've used it for hazelnut oil with good results and I heard one of our group had some trouble trying to process flax.  No tarriff, tax, or duty.

Terese:  I have comfrey salve if Larry needs it now. My daughters and I make it every year.
Comment by Terese VanAssche on February 16, 2011 at 6:18pm

Hi Walter, Do you still have extra comfrey you can split?  Roots would be great so we can start some on our land.  Larry needs comfrey salve.

thanks

Terese
