This is both an ask and an offer:
I have 5.5 acres off E. Smith Rd complete with a 3 br 2 ba energy efficient manufactured home (brand new water heater and efficient dishwasher), a large detached garage/shop/dark room, small cabin, woods, pasture, animal shelter, chickens and chicken coop, pond, garden space, and small gazebo, all nicely tucked off of the main road. I need to either 1) sell this wonderful place, 2) rent the whole thing out, or 3) partner with some people to help work and maintain the property. I have a vision of helping displaced or abandoned farm animals and/or propagating native plants; however, I have no time or extra money to realize these things.
That's where you come in... what do you think? Do you have ideas? Does this place seem like the perfect start to your future sustainable life? Do you just need some land to work? A place to graze some animals? A cabin to rent? Let's talk! Erica 360-393-7910

Seeking to borrow a pickup to haul manure for garden. Borrow, Barter or $-rent.
Will need it for a few hours on the weekend of January19 or 20. Location is from near Ferndale to the Birchwood neighborhood. It would be loaded with a tractor, then unloaded by hand with shovels. We'd use tarps and clean the truck bed afterwards.

Is there anyone interested in tanning a sheep fleece? We recently harvested one of our sheep and it had a beautiful fleece but we don't have time too process it. I will put it into the freezer for a few days to see if anyone responds. you can call us at 398-8227

Studio Room for Rent in downtown Ferndale, $450/ month includes all utilities except cable and phone.
Upstairs has a small refrigerator for renter's use and private bathroom with shower. Nice view of gardens on our Fern Hollow property, as well as lovely shade and apple trees and a pear tree on the property. Very private 1912 Craftsman home. We would love people to rent who enjoy music, gardening, and dogs! Kitchen and W/D shared with owner downstairs. Fenced yard and nice patio area in back, big old front porch and deck with a pond. Walking distance to bus line. Property shared by owner (civil engineer and artist / musician / writer) and a landscaper who lives in his own RV. Seeking responsible person any age. First, last and $250 security deposit. We have two medium sized dogs and one cat, who does not like other cats. Cat is a fixed female who does not come into the main part of house or upstairs.
Sorry, no pets or party animals, light drinker / smoker OK, but no smoking in house.
