Event Description

Join other herbal enthusiasts at the Cedar Mountain Herb School and carpool up into the mountains in Skagit County for a day of wild plant ID, harvesting and medicine making. It's a mini apprenticeship for those who have limited time or wish to learn more about the wild plants that live in the Pacific Northwest.

Get your clippers and let's go harvest Oregon Grape!

Oregon Grape - Mahonia spp. Oregon grape has a delightful ability to strengthen and tone the entire digestive tract, stimulate and improve liver function, and kill a broad spectrum of bacteria, viruses and protozoa. It helps with the healing of wounds and burns by promoting cellular metabolism. Oregon grape enhances kidney function. Learn more about this rhizomatous plant during our harvest time! We'll cover dosages and frequency of dosages for various illnesses/health issues, and many applications for use.

In addition to finding Oregon Grape in it's habitat, learning it's medicine and harvesting it, we'll return to CMHS to process the bark and make our medicine including Oregon Grape jelly.

$85 - Transition members receive 15% discount!

Workshop is limited to 8 people.
