You can find background info through the resources on this site. Check out all the pages in the "About Us" tab in the upper left.

Specifically, there's info on Transition Principles, The 12 Steps to Transition, and TW Guidelines. A great intro to what we're about can be seen by viewing the YouTube video about our Great Unleashing on our YouTube channel.

Hopefully you'll learn more about how you might best plug in at the Transition Cafe' event.

Comment by Kyler Boyes on April 7, 2011 at 10:27pm: Hi I am just learning about the transition movement. I am very exited that this work is being done in bellingham with transition whatcom. I am involved with the community garden project being set up behind the RE-Store. I am exited to learn how I can learn more and be involved. I was going to community college and not knowing really quite what I was doing there except learning some good stuff and taking out student loans. I am now trying to network in bellingham and learn what I might do to help push sustainability forward, build our community, and do some work that is not so ludicrous (I work at a convenience store/gas station). I will try to attend this meeting to meet others and get more involved with learning, networking, and helping. Cheers!
