SB Roving Garden Party - 6/2 - Near Bellingham High School - 6:00pm

Join Sustainable Bellingham's 3rd annual Roving Garden Party series, where volunteers help their neighbors create an edible garden. These fun events consist of approximately 90 minutes of gardening, followed by a shared meal. Everyone is welcome!

This week we will be at the Bellingham Senior Activities Center (BSAC) installing a vegetable garden to produce fresh, very local, organic produce for the Center’s cafeteria! The BSAC is a multi-purpose drop-in facility which offers a variety of services, programs and activities that encourages independent, healthy, active living resulting in positive physical and emotional wellness.

* Where: The BSAC is located at 315 Halleck St. in Bellingham, just off Cornwall. MAP: http://bit.ly/iy5kAy.
* Parking: Ample parking in the Center’s lot just east of the Center.
* When: Thursday, June 2nd, 6:00-7:30pm work, 7:30 meal.
* Requested Items to Bring: Work gloves, shovels, hand trowels.
* Tasks: Adding soil and compost and sowing starts.
* Food: There will be a medley of savory salads and snacks provided, please bring your own bowl and eating utensil as well as anything you’d like to drink.
* Host: WWU’s Service Learning Center, BSAC, Forest Garden Urban Ecology.
