Event Description

Growing cherries, plums, peaches and apricots can be rewarding and challenging in our maritime climate. Discussion will include planting, growing techniques, and pruning of stone fruits.

Participants will benefit from the experience and expertise of Cloud Mountain’s executive director, Tom Thornton, who has grown fruit commercially for more than 30 years, and over the years, has experimented with several growing and training systems, as well as pruning techniques.

Workshop is held outdoors, so participants should dress for warmth and comfort.  Donations, which support Cloud Mountain's educational programs, will be gladly accepted.
