Event Description

“Growing Stone Fruits: Cherries, Peaches, Plums and Apricots” is a free workshop on the planting, growing and pruning of stone fruits. Training techniques will be discussed, and techniques for pruning newly planted trees and renovating older trees will be demonstrated.

Participants will benefit from the experience and expertise of Cloud Mountain ’s executive director, Tom Thornton, who has grown fruit commercially for more than 30 years, and over the years, has experimented with several growing and training systems, as well as pruning techniques.

Workshops are held outdoors, so participants should dress for warmth and comfort.  Donations, which support Cloud Mountain's educational programs, will be gladly accepted.
